Stuffed Eastern Burger

This burger...
It's like a Chinese dinner on a bun.

Ingredients:

4 oz. (1/2 block) cream cheese
1 scallion, sliced
1 carrot, julienned
2 lbs ground beef
1 tsp minced ginger
1 minced garlic clove
2 tsp sriracha
1 tbsp soy sauce (less sodium if you add salt)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Sriracha
Mayo
green leaf lettuce
buns

Instructions:

Mix cream cheese and scallions, set aside.

Mix the ground beef, ginger, garlic, sriracha, soy, salt and pepper.

To make the patties: score the beef for even amounts, form two slightly thinner that usual patties for one burger.

Place about a tablespoon of the scallion cream cheese in center and seal with second patty.

Once all burgers are complete, proceed to grill.  Medium to high is good, these cook faster since there is no center of meat (the greatest part about stuffing burgers in my book).

Toast the buns, mix mayo and sriracha to your liking.  I used about 1/4 cup mayo with 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoon sriracha. Spread sauce on both sides of toasted bun, I also put a little on the burger to keep toppings in place. Add the lettuce, carrots and enjoy!
